President Ronald Reagan signed IRAA into law on October 28, 1988 following a bipartisan effort in Congress to address radon. Results: a small but mighty voluntary federal radon program infrastructure evolved, SIRG grants enabled states to act, radon professionals were deemed proficient to deliver services.  Elder AARST members and other stakeholders have seen it all – but let’s take a few minutes to reflect on the policies and accomplishments.
